Now Recruiting Volunteers
for Day & Jr. Day Camp — July 29 — August 2
This summer, we will continue to offer two different camps for our vacation Bible school. The theme for both is This Changes Everything. Day Camp, led by Crestfield staff, is an all-day, faith-building experience for elementary youth in completed 1st – 5th grades and includes a day trip to Crestfield on Thursday, August 1. Jr. Day Camp, led by church staff and volunteers, runs daily from 9:30 a.m.-noon, and is for children in preschool (must be potty-trained) through completed Kindergarten.
The CE Committee envisions using this week-long summer ministry as a tool to invite friends and family to Bower Hill. We are excited to be preparing for an increased number of youth in both camps and we need your help! Please sign up to help on the bulletin board outside the Friendship room. Complete details on the volunteer opportunities are there as well.
All adults helping with Jr. Day Camp must be approved adults. Approved adult application forms are on the bulletin board by the Friendship Room. This is an easy (and free) process that can be accomplished from any computer. If you already have your clearances through a school or another organization, you don’t need to repeat the process; you can use copies of that information. Lastly, in a few weeks look for a “WISH” tree, filled with the supplies and monetary donations needed to support Jr. Day Camp. Thanks for your help in supporting Bower Hill youth!
Bower Hill — Young Families at Crestfield
Crestfield Camp and Conference Center has added new camping experiences during a partial-week camp designed specifically for elementary-age children and their families. There are two camp experiences from June 18-21, and we hope that several Bower Hill families and kids will participate. Amy will be attending along with Autumn and Noelle, so it’s a perfect time to either join us or send your elementary-aged child to camp when there will be familiar faces and friends alongside them.
Little Ones Loved Ones (for an adult + child ages 3-7
Parents, grandparents, or relatives and their children will grow in God’s Word together as they explore the Bible, enjoy the beauty of Crestfield, and experience all the fun that camp has to offer. Participants stay in comfortable Scott Lodge. This is a great opportunity to have an older child attend Genesis Camp while you are on the grounds with a younger child. Be sure to register early–SPACE IS LIMITED!
Genesis Camp (grades 1-5)
There’s no better way to be introduced to the wonders of Summer Camp! Genesis is a shortened week of camp that compresses the thrills of Crestfield into three days. This program is offered to encourage younger campers to experience intentional Christian community that is built upon having fun, being safe and growing in your faith. For more information, go to www.crestfieldcc.org and click on summer camps. Registration is now open, and runs directly through Crestfield. There are early registration discounts if paid in full before April 30. The full summer camp brochure is posted on the Youth bulletin board outside the kitchen.
