Jr. Day Camp Supplies needed
This year’s Jr. Day Camp theme is based on Ephesians 2:8 – For by grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God…THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING.
Your help is needed to make this a wonderful, exciting week for our children and volunteers! Please visit the special “Jr Day Camp Board” outside the sanctuary and take a post-it (or two). Simply collect or purchase the supplies listed and bring them back to the church no later than Sunday, June 9. Monetary donations can be placed in the offering plate during worship; please be sure to mark them accordingly. Thanks for your support of Bower Hill children!
Summer Sunday School and Nursery Coverage
Beginning Sunday, May 26, children will be combined for summer fun during the worship service. Children should remain in worship until the Children’s Sermon. Then they will be escorted to the downstairs lounge (room 110) for games, crafts, and to enjoy the playground. Parents should pick up their children from room 110 following worship.
Completed 3rd-5th graders are also invited to join us in room 110 to serve as junior helpers. They may choose a specific area to lead (board games, craft, or outdoor games) to interact with our younger children. This is an excellent introduction into helping with Children’s Worship as they get older.
Children’s Bulletins are available in the Narthex. Childcare in the nursery for infants and toddlers will be available during the worship service as usual. Completed 6th grade and up are invited to remain in worship with their families.
Join Bower Hill – Young Families at Crestfield – June 18-21
Crestfield Camp and Conference Center has added new camping experiences during a partial-week at camp designed specifically for elementary-age children and their families. There are two camps scheduled from June 18-21, and our hope is that several Bower Hill families and kids will participate. Amy will be attending along with Autumn and Noelle, so it’s a perfect time to either join us or send your elementary-aged child to camp when there will be familiar faces and friends alongside them.
- Little Ones Loved Ones (for an adult + child 3-7 years old)
Parents, grandparents, or relatives and their children will grow in God’s Word together as they explore the Bible, enjoy the beauty of Crestfield, and experience all the fun that camp has to offer. Participants stay in comfortable Scott Lodge. This is a great opportunity to have an older child attend Genesis Camp while you are on the grounds with a younger child. Be sure to register early–SPACE IS LIMITED!
- Genesis Camp (grades 1-5)
There’s no better way to be introduced to the wonders of Summer Camp! Genesis is a shortened week of camp that compresses the thrills of Crestfield into three days. This program is offered to encourage younger campers to experience intentional Christian community that is built upon having fun, being safe and growing in your faith.
For more information, go to www.crestfieldcc.org and click on summer camps. Registration is now open, and runs directly through Crestfield. The full summer camp brochure is posted on the Youth bulletin board outside the kitchen.
