Fundraiser for Mike Riemer a Success

Bower Hill Community Church held a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for member Mike Riemer, who was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease (PKD) and will soon need a kidney transplant.

Members of the church provided musical entertainment, and surrounding communities brought deserts and baskets for sale and for raffle, and other community organizations provide wait service, cooking and cleaning, and more.

More than 500 people attended throughout the evening and helped to raise $20,000 (in-person and online) to help defray the cost of medical expenses related to Mike’s surgery and treatment. That is truly amazing, and something in which we can all be proud to have played a part.

Thanks again for the efforts of preparation and performance, and for pulling the community together to help a Bower Hill Church member.
