These are just a sampling of activities that are available. Check your community organizations for activities in which you can participate.

for persons age 55+ who meet income guidelines.

Seniors who are 60+ and meet income eligibility requirements receive free training and a tax free stipend by working with children.

Seniors who are 55+ and meet income eligibility requirements receive free training and job placement.
|Educational Opportunities||Carlow College||They offer a program Weekend College for non traditional students.|
|Carnegie Mellon University||Their program Academy for Lifelong Learning provides a variety of learning opportunities for a modest annual fee.|
|Community College of Allegheny||They offers up to 2 classes free for people age 65+.|
|Duquesne University||They offers classes at a 50% discount for people age 60+|
|Elderhostel Pittsburgh||Offers one day trips within the city and its popular week long travel program.|
|LaRoche College||Their program Senior Enrichment Opportunities offers classes for a non credit fee of $100 for people age 62+.|
|University of Pittsburgh||Their program Third Age Learning Community provides a variety of learning opportunities for people age 55+ at reduced fees.|
|SeniorNet||This program provides computer instruction to adults age 50 and older. The Lutheran Service Society of Western Pennsylvania is the local sponsor of SeniorNet.|
|Senior Centers||Agency on Aging Senior Community Centers||
Senior Centers are places for older adults to make new friends or gather with old friends, share a meal and get involved in a variety of activities. A shared lunch meal is also available Monday through Friday in the senior centers.
The closest centers to Mt. Lebanon are in Carnegie, Bridgeville, Dormont and Bethel Park.

|Volunteer Opportunities||Senior Companion Program||Volunteer to provide companionship for people who live alone. Must be 60+ and in good health. Depending on income you may be eligible to receive a stipend for your services.|
