Enjoy creating music?
Join the Chancel Choir
The Chancel choir is for adults and high school students. We practice at 7:30 pm Wednesdays and 9:00 am before the 9:30 am Sunday Worship service. We sing each Sunday at the 9:30 am service and at special concerts on Sunday afternoons.
Join the Bell Choir
The Bell choir is for adults and high school students. We practice at 6:00 pm Wednesdays in the choir room and play once a month on Sunday during Worship.
(Women) Enjoy reading thought-provoking books?
Join the Bookworms
Bookworms is a group of women that meet for book discussion and fellowship on the third Tuesday of each month at 7:30 pm in the Friendship Room at the church. Books are selected by the members of the group.
(Women) Enjoy reading and discussing the Bible?
Koinonia is the name of Bower Hill’s Women’s Bible Study group. If you ask current members of the group, many will tell you that Koinonia is one of the best things going on at our church! The group meets on Wednesday mornings from 9:00 am until 10:30 am in the Lounge from September through May. Koinonia is a Greek word meaning “fellowship”. While we come together to learn and to deepen our faith, equally important is the fellowship we share with one another. A strong Biblical background is not required to be a member…all you need is a desire to grow.
We invite you to participate in our mission activities. You do not have to be a member of Bower Hill to participate. We welcome all with a passion to make a difference to join in. Further information can be found at www.bhccml.com. Please call the office at 412-561-4114 with questions or to volunteer. A full list of our mission projects can be found at our Missions page.

- Box tops for Education
This is a program where church members bring in box tops from certain products with can be redeemed for education items for schools. We are working with a Hopi Mission School. Box tops can be dropped off at the church office.
- Hunger Projects
We have made alleviating hunger a priority. The church has been collecting food for the Wallace Presbyterian Church food pantry for many years.
- SHIM Tutoring
During the school year a group of members goes over in the afternoon to help children served by SHIM with homework assignments. Help us teach the children.
- SHIM Back to School Event
This event in August supplies students with backpacks and supplies for the coming school year. The backpacks and supplies are distributed during a party held for the students. Financial and hands on help at the event are needed.
