New Here? - Our Beliefs
Faith: Faith should be a source of joy. For us, faith is not necessarily agreeing with a certain creed, but simply trying to practice the wisdom of Jesus—which can lead to healing and wholeness in ourselves and in our world. Faith’s strength makes us kinder, and its clarity makes us happier. Faith’s mysteries inspire our trust and praise.
Reason: No one has all the answers about God and life. Ours is not the one true religion. However, it does offer meaningful ways to understand ourselves and others. It teaches us responsibility and puts our joys and sorrows into perspective. Scripture offers us guidance and inspiration, not scientific facts. We are a home for spiritual seekers who believe that science, and all disciplines, can teach us much about God.
Service: Our treatment of others is the ultimate expression of our faith. We endeavor to practice our spirituality in acts of mercy, justice, hospitality, and love. Groups within our church carry out tasks of earth-care, care and advocacy for the disadvantaged, care for our own members, and care for ourselves. Every church member is asked to be active in at least one of these forms of service.

Love: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength, and with all your mind…and you shall love your neighbor as yourself.” ~Mark 12:30-31
