Wherever you are on life’s journey, we’re glad that you found your way to us. 

 

If you’re looking for a nonjudgmental, forward-thinking, science-loving church that is environmentally-conscious and gay-friendly, with a long history of advocating for the oppressed, then we just might be the church for you. 

 

We believe that church ought to be a place where we follow the teachings of Jesus—which are simple but hard: Love God, love each other. 

 

At first glance, we’re a traditional neighborhood church with a steeple, a choir, and potlucks.  And yet, we have a fresh approach to faith.  Our identity as a “justice church” goes back as far as the Selma Marches.  We are rooted in the past, but not stuck in it. 

 

In terms of church government and history, we’re a part of the Presbyterian Church (USA), which traces its roots to the Protestant Reformation and the Church of Scotland.  But we value interfaith cooperation and find inspiration and wisdom in a variety of faith traditions. 

 

Here you will find active programs for children and youth, inspiring worship, intelligent classes for all age groups, a myriad of mission projects to get involved in, and a “church family” to share in the joys and sorrows of your life.
