DIRECTOR OF CHRISTIAN EDUCATION AND YOUTH PROGRAMS Amy Grella — am@bhccml.com
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION NEEDS YOUR HELP Children’s Worship is well underway for the school year. We are in the process of setting up a prayer and reading area in room 203 for the children, and we are in need of gently used floor pillows or beanbag chairs. Also, there is still a need for volunteers to assist during Children’s Worship between now and the end of the year. If you are able to help or to donate the above items, please email Amy at am@bhccml.com.
OUR YOUTH ARE MAKING A DIFFERENCE If you haven’t made it to Eat & Meet this fall, you are missing out! In addition to the usual fun and games, our youth have been learning about hunger, food insecurity, and the many ways that we can make an impact on this problem in our area. We helped harvest our own SHIM garden to collect fresh produce for local food banks.
Also, we plan to participate in our first ever CROP Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 9. Registration: 1-2:00 p.m. / Walk begins at 2:00 p.m. 5K route begins at South Park Home Economics Bldg. You are all invited to join us on the walk itself or by sponsoring our team. See the CE bulletin board located by the kitchen for more information.
MIDDLE SCHOOL RETREAT — Save the Date! Grades 5 through 8 are invited to register for the upcoming Middle School Retreat at Crestfield Camp, November 18-20. Details and registration forms can be found on the CE bulletin board located by the kitchen. If you have questions, please contact Amy at am@bhccml.com.
