2019 Youth Calendar

Our youth calendar is full of special events for youth 6th grades and up!

January 13, 6:00-8:00 p.m.—Middle School Sunday Night Live

Middle schoolers (grades 6-8) will meet in Fellowship Hall for youth group SNL.  Enjoy mixers, games and small group meetups.  Snacks will be provided.

Sunday, January 27 – The Event 2.0

It’s officially back…The Event 2.0 for all youth grades 6 and up!  Building on last year’s inaugural event, the Pittsburgh Presbytery is bringing together youth from across our region for an evening of worship, fun, growth, and fellowship.  We will be gathering in The Pittsburgh Project’s Sanctuary located on the North Side.  We will meet at Bower Hill at 5:00 p.m. and carpool to The Pittsburgh Project.  We will return to Bower Hill by 8:30 p.m.  The cost to attend ($5 per youth) will be covered by Bower Hill.

The model for the evening will be similar to the “club time” at a retreat, mission trip or summer camp and feature games/contests, music, and a keynote speaker.  Our keynote speaker this year will be Rev. Wayne Younger, who currently serves as the Executive Director of the Pittsburgh Project.  Wayne is a gifted and experienced communicator, having served in the local church and spoken to teenagers for many years in various venues, and will engage and challenge all who attend.

Register your youth (and any friends) on the Evite sent from Amy so that carpooling can be arranged.  Deadline to register is Sunday, December 30.

Sunday School Update

Sunday School will enjoy its sixth annual Sunday-after-Christmas Pajama Party!

All Sunday school classes will participate on

Sunday, December 30, from 9:30 until 11:00 a.m. in the Lounge (room 110).  There will be no children’s sermon.  Please report directly to the Lounge at the beginning of worship.  The movie we are watching runs for 90 minutes, so plan to pick up your child AFTER coffee hour.  The nursery will be open that day.

Wear your PJ’s and bring a pillow and blanket.  We will watch a fun holiday DVD.

Donut holes, juice, and milk will be provided.

2nd hour XP3

All youth grades 6 and up are invited to join us Sunday mornings during second hour for XP3 in the youth lounge.

Beginning January 13, we will begin a new series on forgiveness called Over It.
