Now Recruiting Volunteers for Day & Jr. Day Camp July 17-21

This summer will be the third year we are offering two different camps for our vacation bible school.  The theme for both is Branching Out – Connecting Through Christ.   Day Camp, an all-day faith-building experience for youth (completed 1st – 6th grades), will be held at the church and led by Crestfield staff.  Jr. Day Camp, which takes place daily that same week from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. is for children in preschool (must be potty-trained) up to completed Kindergarten.  Jr. Day Camp is run by Bower Hill Church staff and volunteers.

The Christian Education committee envisions using this week-long summer ministry as a tool to reach out into our community to invite friends and family to check out Bower Hill.  We are excited to prepare for an increased number of youth in both camps!  However, that means that LOTS of help is needed to make it a memorable and successful week.

Complete details about volunteer opportunities and a sign-up sheet are posted on the bulletin board outside the Friendship Room.

All volunteers scheduled during the week of Day Camp must be Approved Adults.  If you are not already an Approved Adult at Bower Hill, you may start the process by completing the Approved Adult application and submitting it to Amy or the church office.  Copies of this form are also on the bulletin board by the Friendship Room.  This is an easy (and free) process that can largely be accomplished from any computer.  If you already have your clearances through a school or another organization, there is no need to repeat the process—just use copies of that information.  Lastly, in a few weeks look for a “WISH” tree, filled with the supplies and monetary donations needed to support Jr. Day Camp.  Thanks for your help in supporting Bower Hill youth!

Registration is now open for Jr. Day Camp and Day Camp, July 17-21

New this year, registration for both Jr Day Camp and Day Camp is available online through our website.  Simply go to:  www.bowerhillchurch.org/daycamp/ and you will be directed to the page with information and the buttons to register.  You can complete registration and pay online!

If you would like to register by check, you may complete the enclosed paper copy of the registration form (copies are also located on the bulletin board by the Friendship Room) along with your check (payable to BHCC) and deliver it to the church office or via USPS.  See the registration form insert for complete details on the week.

Especially for Day Camp, where our space is limited to only 40 campers, please be sure to register early!
