Have you wondered what ‘Family Promise’ is all about? Have you wanted to volunteer but weren’t sure what was involved? Have you volunteered but feel you could learn more about hosting at Bower Hill? If you answer Yes to any of these questions, come to a special training for Family Promise volunteers on Sunday, March 6, at 1:30 p.m. We will begin in the Friendship Room (Adult Ed room) to learn about what Family Promise does, and then we will break into workshops to learn how to ‘do’ Family Promise at Bower Hill. You will learn everything from how to unlock the doors, and how to set up beds, to how to run the convection oven in the kitchen. You can even take the van for a spin if you are interested in volunteering as a driver. And you will learn the biggest mystery of all…how to turn on the overhead lights in Fellowship Hall.
