On October 12th, a group of 3 members of Bower Hill Community Church hiked the steps in the Southside. The weather was a light rain and around 55 degrees which is actually good for this type of hike. We started on 18th street up the steps to Pius Street then back down across the railroad tracks 2 times and continued to the top of hill. We were rewarded with our first of many great views of the city. Eventually, we came down Yard Way which is one of the longest set of steps in Pittsburgh. We worked our way over to Mission Street and up the steps of Sterling Street. To our right we saw the progress they are making in creating the new Southside Park. We came back down via Eleanor street back to our car.
