You will have two opportunities to observe Good Friday this year:
▪ Good Friday Community Service
This afternoon service at Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church is a longstanding tradition in our community. Instead of the three-hour service of prior years, this event now lasts from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Pastor Snyder and ministers from four other congregations will each share a five-minute sermon on the passion of Christ. A community “super choir” will sing.
▪ Good Friday Service at Bower Hill Church
Many people are unable to attend afternoon worship. For that reason, Bower Hill Church will hold its own Good Friday service at 7:00 p.m. in the sanctuary. Known as “The Solemn Reproaches of the Cross,” this is a meditative worship experience that has been practiced since ancient times. Childcare will be provided.
