Ladies of Bower Hill–Start off Mother’s Day Weekend right when we take our turn to get together out on the town!! On Friday, May 10, at 7:00 p.m., we will meet at Apis Mead & Winery at 206 Mary Street in Carnegie.
The main draw for Apis is their wide variety of mead (honey wine). They offer sampler flights for those who want to try a variety of flavors. They don’t serve food, but on Friday nights there are food trucks outside. The food truck on May 10 will be Pittsburgh Tortas. There will also be live music from the Eddan Sparks Trio. According to Facebook, they play “Pop, Soul, Whatever.”
According to one review on Yelp, Apis is a “cozy spot to have drinks with friends” and many of the reviews mention a plethora of board games they have available for their patrons to play while they sip their mead.
If a Carnegie hot spot isn’t your speed, no worries. We will do another wine and cheese at a member’s house before the end of the year.
