Among the traditions that bind us together at BHCC are the Angel Trees through which members, for many years, have shared their blessings with our brothers and sisters beyond our congregation whose material needs are greater than ours. This year was no exception. Thanks to the generosity of BHCC members, our blessings have literally extended around the world. This year’s Angel Trees supported the following organizations serving our brothers and sisters at home and in Kenya:
Hekima Place and its founder Kate Fletcher have been dear to BHCC for many years. This Angel Tree will help support the girls who live there.
BHCC is a host site for Family Promise families. Items were collected to support the families.
The Veterans Leadership Program of Western PA empowers veterans to navigate the transitions of life. Items to assist in its mission were delivered to those who work with local veterans.
The Mission and Outreach Committee is deeply appreciative of the way in which the Angel Trees project has continued, and over the years been an integral part of the way BHCC members celebrate the Advent season.
