One of the Great Bard’s literary kings prayed: “O Lord, that lends me life, lend me a heart replete with thankfulness.”
Were Beth and I to pray this same petition these days, we could honestly contend in-deed that prayer has been answered, and we already possess hearts replete with thankfulness for your ongoing prayers, get-well wishes, and gracious greeting cards.
According to the final report from the oncologist, the PET-scan indicated there is no cancer to be found, and there is every reason to be optimistic for the future as well as grateful to the Lord that continues to lend us life. As for you—our caring friends and fellow members of the Body of Christ—we “can no other answer make but thanks, and thanks, and ever thanks!”
