You can download a Living Will and Healthcare Power of Attorney form that explains end of life medical treatment options and includes a legal form to indicate what treatment to provide or withdraw.

Free legal assistance to those 60 years or older that are experiencing an economic or social need. Program services include telephone advice, clinics, referrals, community education and representation before administrative bodies and in court.
|AARP Legal Services Network||Offers a free initial consultation with a local attorney approved by AARP. For other services, you can receive a 20% reduction in fees. Basic services, including simple wills, power of attorney, and living wills, are available at special flat rate.|
|Allegheny County Bar Association Lawyer Referral||412-262-5555
Provides a half-hour consultation with an attorney for $20. After that consultation, a referral will be made to a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association for legal advice at normal rates.

|Tax Preparation Assistance||Volunteer Tax Preparer||800-829-1040
The IRS trains volunteers for two programs: VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) and TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly). Volunteers help elderly, low income, disabled or house bound taxpayers complete federal, state and local tax returns. Sessions take place in the local community form mid-January through April 15.
|AARP Tax-Aide||Free service to people of middle and lower income. Between February 1 and April 15, volunteers help prepare tax returns in senior centers, libraries and malls.|

Those who are 60+, owned a residence for the last 10 years in Allegheny County and have an income less than $30,000 are entitled to a discount on property taxes.
