The sections of the interviews discuss some of the early mission work done at Bower Hill, including a member exchange done with two black churches, the Bidwell Church on the North Side and the Friendship Community Church in the Hill District, mission work done in Puerto Rico and Thailand, and, of course, Pastor Barker's participation at the walk in Selma. We will also hear about Bower Hill's early engagement with having women play an active role in church leadership and ordaining Gail Buchwalter King as an ordained assistant pastor in 1958.

This will be a continuation of our discussions that will be recorded and saved in preparation for the 75th anniversary.
