Get Outdoors – July 2 – Montour Trail - Hendersonville

The hike for this month will be part of the Montour Trail. As such is will be a smooth crushed limestone trail with only slight grade. Great for those who want a less strenuous hike. The plan will be to start at the parking lot by The Tandem Connection and hike to the Greer Tunnel. On the way we will encounter three bridges and one tunnel. We will have a great view of Chartiers Creek with an active railroad bridge over the creek. At an overpass of train tracks, there is a nice view of an active railroad tunnel. After retracing our steps back to the parking lot, if time permits, we may do a short section of the trail toward Interstate 79.
