DID YOU MISS LAUNCH OFF SUNDAY?

No worries! These videos can catch you up on what you missed. If you have any issues with the links, all the videos can be found in the 75th Anniversary playlist on the Bower Hill YouTube channel.

Full Worship Service The worship service on September 7 was loosely based on the very first service held at Bower Hill held on September 10, 1950. The order of the original service was followed as much as possible, some of the same songs were sung, and we had a representative from Presbytery participate (by video, instead of in person as it happened in 1950). Don’t have time to watch the full service? Here’s some shorter videos that may interest you.

Sermon A 22½ minute video that includes the scripture reading that has been chosen to serve as our guide for all the 75th Anniversary activities set to music followed by Pastor Brian’s excellent sermon.

Prelude-Morning Has Broken A video of the prelude being performed by two of the youth from Bower Hill, Leah Smith-violin and Ella Belardi-cello accompanied by Director of Music Ministries Anne Smith-keyboard

Lift Up Your Heads A modern version of the anthem originally sung by the choir in 1950.

Stand Up, Stand Up for Jesus In 1950, this hymn was sung by the congregation. During the 2025 service, the song was performed by two of the youth from Bower Hill, Leah Smith-violin and Ella Belardi-cello during the offertory.

Ralph Lowe-Congratulations from the Pittsburgh Presbytery A 33-second video of Ralph Lowe, from Presbytery, congratulating us on our achievement on reaching our 75th Anniversary.

Balloon Release A 45 second video of the countdown and release of the 75 balloons into the rafters of Fellowship Hall to launch off the celebrations.

Trivia Time A 5½ minute video of the trivia game we played as a group on September 7th. The game includes questions about 1950/1951 (when Bower Hill was formed) and about Bower Hill then and now. The questions are easy, humorous, and fun.

Interview with Pastor Brian Snyder and Dave Hicks An 18½ minute interview with Pastor Brian and Dave Hicks hosted by Susan Hicks about the formation of Bower Hill, where we are today, and thoughts about our future.

Many thanks to the BHCC Audio & Video Team for running the soundboard and the livestream on Kick Off Sunday.

And thank you to Glenn Child and Cary Child for their contributions producing the Balloon Release, Trivia Time, and Interview with Pastor Brian Snyder and Dave Hicks videos.
