Youth Group Activities

Middle school youth group
Middle school youth in grades 6-8 will meet in room 110 on Sundays from 6:30-8:00 pm. We will have a short lesson, snacks, and play some games. Once a month, tweens (3rd-5th graders) will be invited to join us for larger group games; no lessons will be done on these nights – just a chance for fellowship and games before our all-church family potluck dinners. Upcoming meeting dates are:
12/1-12/3 – Crestfield retreat for 6th-12 graders.
12/10 – 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. White elephant for 3rd – 8th then all-church potluck at 6:00 p.m.
12/17 – 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. MS Youth Group in room 110
01/07 – 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. All youth games for 3rd – 8th then all-church potluck at 6:00 p.m.
01/21 – 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. MS Youth Group in room 110
02/04 – 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. All youth games for 3rd – 8th then all-church potluck at 6:00 p.m.
Tweens (3rd - 5th grades) will join older youth for a monthly group game night.
All meetings will be from 5:00 - 6:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted We will meet in Room 110.

02/24-2/25 – Crestfield Tweener Retreat for 3rd-6th grade. Details to follow.
High School (9th - 12th grades)
Senior high youth meet twice a month after worship. One meeting youth go out to brunch together at a local eatery. Then once a month Pastor Brian meets with youth for a theme-based topic and discussion. Each meeting will be immediately following worship and will end by noon. Upcoming meeting schedule:
12/1-12/3 – Crestfield retreat for 6th-12 graders.
12/3 - 10:45 am – noon. Meet with Pastor Brian in room 105.
12/10 - 10:45 am – noon. White Elephant Party in room 110; bring snacks to share.
01/14 - 10:45 am – noon. Brunch out; bring money and meet in Fellowship Hall.
Gather: All-church dinner potlucks
Join us for our next Gather potluck event on Sunday, December 10, at 6:00 p.m.. We’ve calendared six pot-luck dinners throughout the school year on nights with scheduled programming for youth (either youth group or confirmation class). These dinners are an opportunity to build intergenerational community and friendships, to connect and share in our collective life of faith. The remaining potluck dates are: January 7,
February 4, and March 3. Bring a SIMPLE dish to share. Details on what to bring (side, main, or dessert) by last name can be found here on the church website. We hope to see you there!
Children’s Christmas Eve Worship 12/24 at 9:30 a.m.
This year, Christmas Eve falls on Sunday. We hope you will join us for a special interactive, Family Worship at the regular 9:30 a.m. service. It will be geared toward children of all ages with our older youth narrating. This year’s format will allow anyone present, children and even adult “kids at heart,” the option to don a costume or prop and join in as we experience the advent story and birth of Jesus together. We will
use the time in Sunday School the next several weeks to prepare costumes and props.
Childcare will be provided in the nursery for the Christmas Eve evening service only, with special music beginning at 6:30 p.m., and worship at 7:00 p.m.
Sunday-after-Christmas Pajama Party
Children and Youth will enjoy our annual Sunday-after-Christmas Pajama Party!
All kids will be together on Sunday, December 31 . Please report directly to room
110 at the beginning of worship (9:30 a.m.) There will be no children’s sermon.
Kids should be picked up after worship. The nursery will be open that day. Wear
your PJ’s and bring a pillow and blanket. We will
