Youth In Service This Summer
Several ministry and mission options are open to older youth grades 3 and up during the summer.
• Lead Summer Sunday School
• Older youth (grades 3 and up) are invited to help on Sunday mornings at 9:30 a.m. in room 110 beginning May 28.
• Volunteer at VBS July 29-August 2
• Bower Hill's summer VBS will follow a youth-leader model again this year; with pre-school through 2nd grade attending from 9:30-noon each day. Older youth from 3rd grade and up will serve as helpers in the morning, then stay through 3pm each day for more in-depth activities just for them. Both campers and older youth volunteers must register to collect emergency contact information. Cost is the same $30 for campers and older youth. Click here to register for 2024 VBS
• Help with Small Jobs and in-home visits
• Throughout the summer, we will be arranging small work groups to help congregation members. Times will be coordinated as requests come in; be on the lookout for updates via text and email.
Summer Opportunities for Children
Summer Sunday School
Every Sunday beginning May 26th, all kids, preschool (potty-trained) through 5th grade will be combined in room 110 right at 9:30 a.m. to hear a short Bible-based lesson and then have time to socialize and enjoy our playground. Older youth are invited to help lead activities like chalk, crafting, or bubbles.
Take a Ride on the Rocky Railway with Bower Hill's VBS
At Rocky Railway VBS, kids discover Jesus’ power can pull them through life’s ups and downs. Bower Hill's VBS will follow a youth-leader model again this year with pre-school (potty trained) through 2nd grade attending from 9:30 - noon each day. Older youth from 3rd grade and up will serve as helpers in the morning, then stay through 3:00 p.m. each day for more in-depth activities just for them.
