Eco-Justice Team - May, 2022

We are happy to announce that during Coffee Hour on May 22, the Eco-Justice Team will be sponsoring an All-Church Craft Fest! In partnership with the Center for Creative Reuse, we’ll have materials for all ages to fashion something wonderful, not to mention fun! Let your imagination run wild as you create a treasure to celebrate spring.

Another great opportunity comes to us from PA-IPL, where BHCC is a member. From May 1-29, our hearty outdoor folks can take the challenge! You have the option to bicycle 100 miles or hike 50 miles to help bring attention to environmental issues and the work congregations are supporting to mitigate them. It sounds like a lot, but you have a month to accomplish it! Some bike routes are suggested, including parts of the Montour Trail, the Great Allegheny Passage, and the Butler-Freeport Community Trail. Take an old favorite, or try something new! Get more information at: https://www.paiplbikehike.com/what-is-the-bike-hike.

Finally, the Pennsylvania Resource Council has announced a schedule for easy recycling of specialty items.
