On October 9th, 2021 a group of 4 members and friends of Bower Hill Community Church hiked the Southern Beltway. Penndot had a community day before the official opening of the interstate to vehicle traffic. The weather was overcast but perfect temperature for hiking. We did get some light right for part of the hike but it was just right to keep us cool. The hike started at the Rt50 South Fayette Way interchange. We hiked about 3 miles before we turned around to head back to the car.
