Ponderings from the Parish Associate - June 2025

June once was known as the month of weddings. Men and women were graduating from school, and it seemed like the appropriate time for the ceremony. However, times have changed. There is not one month that could now be the one known for weddings. Perhaps the fall could claim as a popular time but in reality, weddings are now performed throughout the year.

Many of us could sadly comment that, “things just aren’t like they used to be”. Though this is true it is a time for us to embrace the positive changes that have occurred in our life. Treatments for diseases have made quantum leaps. Households have more conveniences now than ever before. We are now able to keep up with family and friends without long distance tolls. As the nice warm days of June envelope us, let us smile at all that is good and new.
