Ponderings from the Parish Associate - October 2025

ree

The first Sunday in October is Worldwide Communion Sunday. It has been a tradition for decades to acknowledge the global reach of the Christian Community. It is particularly important this year that we understand the need to reaffirm our unity. Regardless of the language, the type of bread we break or the liturgical setting, we are one in Christ. Our humanity is from God and our spirit is both a miracle and a blessing. When we look into the eyes of another person, we must see how we are the same. Regardless of our opinion, our politics, our wealth or our poverty we are children of the Almighty.

~Rev. Dr. Fred Leasure, Parish Associate
