On the South Shore of Lake Arthur, the Hilltop Loop trail in Moraine State Park passes by different stages of

forest regeneration, cavity-nesting bird boxes, and the remains of a springhouse. The trail includes flat grassy

areas and gradual inclines that lead to fields high above the highway and lake. This trail is labeled as more

difficult which probably implies some hills to deal with. Depending on the time spent on Hilltop Loop, we will

probably add Pleasant Valley or Sunken Garden Trail. Moraine Trail Map

We will meet at 9:00 a.m. in the main parking lot and carpool to the hike. The trailhead should be about a 60-minute drive.
