Get Outdoors – November 1 – North Park

Encompassing 3,089 acres in Hampton, McCandless, and Pine Townships, North Park is the largest park in the Allegheny County Park system. This park offers a diverse range of recreational activities for visitors of all ages, making it a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts. A highlight of the park is the stunning 66-acre lake and boathouse (built in 1934), which is popular for kayaking and fishing. North Park is also the perfect setting for golf, tennis, ice skating, hiking, and is home to one of the largest swimming pools in the region.

We will hike the paved trail around the lake taking a short cut to keep the hike to about 4 miles. It will be almost completely level with very little shade but lots of view of the lake.
