Get Outdoors - Hartwood Acres - 4/11/2026

On April 11, 2026, a group of 4 members of Bower Hill Community Church hiked the trails at Hartwood Acres. The weather was great. It was a little cool but lots of sunshine. The trees were without leaves so you could see into the valleys and hillsides. We started on the orange trail, then went onto the white trail loop. Halfway into the loops, we turned onto and did the entire blue loop. After returning to the white loop, we decided to take side trail to the Hartwood Acres house area and returned to the car. The main thing we noticed on the trails were the large trees that had recently come down. We did see some deer and several outbuildings that may have been housing pumping equipment.
