On January 13, 2024, a group of 3 members of Bower Hill Community Church hiked the Hendersonville to Valleybrook Road section of the Montour trail. The temperature was below freezing and dropped during the hike. Despite the temperature and wind, it was an enjoyable hike. The start was at the parking lot by The Tandem Connection. We hiked to the bridge over Chartiers Creek which has a great view of the Valleybrook golf courses and of an active railroad bridge over the creek. We proceeded through the Greer tunnel. On the other side on the tunnel is a bridge crossing railroad tracks. We could look down and see the tunnel the trains use to get through the hill.
