All New "ToGather"

ToGather is a new faith-building opportunity for people at all places in life: single, married, young and old. Its emphasis will be on 1) building community, 2) engaging in mission, and 3) exploring the Bible.  ToGather evenings are intergenerational, with an option to stay for dinner afterward.

When:  The first ToGather event is set for Sunday, September 22, 4:30 p.m.

Other dates include 10/6, 10/20, 11/3 and 11/17.

What to Expect:

A 30-minute Taizé-style worship experience designed for older-elementary youth and up to participate along with their families, giving families the opportunity to worship together if they choose. Alternatively, families may choose to place younger children in on-site childcare during worship.

After worship, childcare will continue while adults and older youth join their own groups for another half hour or so. Elder Colleen Marsteller will lead a Bible study for the adults, and youth groups will meet. This year there will be two separate youth groups - one for fifth through seventh grade, and one for eighth and up.

Afterward, an optional dinner takes place - a main course and drinks will be provided, and families can bring a side or dessert to share.

The entire evening should last no more than two hours. We hope ToGather feeds your body and your soul, while getting you home in time to get ready for the work/school week ahead!
