Get Outdoors - White Oak Park 2 - October 4, 2025

On October 4, 2025, 3 members of Bower Hill hiked the trails in the county park, White Oaks Park. As we arrived at the parking area for the green trail, like last month a running race was in progress. It was a cross country invitational meet with many schools involved. But this time, we could find parking. We decided to start the trial loop in a direction that took us away from the main race area. The trail is a loop along a ridge that circles a flatter area. At various parts of the trail we could hear the cheering for the race. Most of the trail was devoid of the sounds of birds but in one section we came upon a flock of birds whose singing was quite loud. It was great weather.
