Ponderings from the Parish Associate - April 2024

I was given a miniature rose plant that had withered and looked almost dead. I moved it outside in the sun and began to water it as well as providing an occasional dose of fertilizer. Also, I trimmed off all the brown dead leaves. In about a month there was just a small node that looked like the beginning of a bud. Now you need to know I have absolutely no knowledge of horticulture or care of anything green! In about three weeks that node turned into a beautiful pink rose. Who would have thought?

Jesus uses the image of trees, seeds, and bushes to illustrate how the Kingdom of God can grow and bloom with just a little bit of care. In spite of all the post pandemic issues, never give up on how you can be the one to get others to bloom and grow in their Christian faith!
